How to read and use this monitoring dashboard

Live Snapshot — Top Numbers

The four cards at the top give you a quick at-a-glance summary of the building right now. Active Alarms shows how many alarm conditions are currently open and waiting to be reviewed this week. Units Monitored is the total number of HVAC pieces of equipment being tracked. Open Deficiencies are service items that have been identified but not yet resolved. Open Notes are observations logged by your monitoring team during the week.

Alarm Breakdown by Type

Below the top numbers you will see six boxes — one for each alarm category. These tell you at a glance where your alarms are coming from. Comm alarms mean a piece of equipment has lost communication with the building system. RTU alarms are on your rooftop units. VAV Temp means a room zone is outside its temperature range. VAV Heat means a heating issue was detected in a zone. VAV Airflow means airflow to a zone is not within normal range. Exhaust Fans means a fan has a fault.

Daily/Weekly Alarm Review

This is where your monitoring team reviews every alarm for the current week. Each alarm shows what piece of equipment it came from, what type it is, how many days it has been active, and its current review status. Your team updates the status as alarms are investigated and resolved. You can filter by type or status to focus on what matters most. This list is updated each night after hours.

Daily/Weekly Equipment Review

This page shows a snapshot of how each piece of HVAC equipment performed. You can see things like supply air temperatures, whether heating or cooling was active, and how well each unit is meeting the building's comfort needs. This is useful for spotting equipment that is working harder than it should or showing early signs of a problem before a full alarm occurs.

History & Records

The lower section holds your historical records. RTU History and VAV History let you look back at past performance trends over time. Alarm Log is a complete archive of every alarm week by week going back to when monitoring started. Deficiency List tracks all known service items and their current status. Notes is a running log of observations and follow-up items from your monitoring team.
